Snuggled in north-central Iowa’s Buena Vista County, Wel-Life at Alta provides a safe and quiet environment in a single-level dwelling. Small enough to provide one-on-one service, yet large enough to have several common areas and a large variety of activities, our community has the atmosphere, comfort and love of home. In addition to assisted living, we also offer respite care.

Established in 1878, Alta is a small agricultural community that is fast becoming a center for wind energy. Although a bedroom community of Storm Lake, businesses are growing and the city takes pride in housing the Buena Vista County Fair and the Alta Raceway.

Before you move in, we’ll develop a personalized health and wellness plan that includes a pre-admission appointment with your physician. The plan also includes your individual preferences, lifestyle interests and goals. Once you arrive, our transition team helps you thrive in your new home with services that include:
